CoE to hold EGM on 30 August 2014

During the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of 28 February 2014, a motion was proposed by CoE members regarding the review of the Chamber of Engineers statute.  It was agreed that the statute should be revised and the most pertinent issues addressed.

An Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) is being called as per clause 12.1 and 11.6 of the CoE statute for the purpose of ratifying these proposed amendments. The EGM will be held at SmartCity Malta on Saturday 30th August 2014 at 9.00a.m. The agenda will be as follows:

1.       Presentation by the Statute sub-committee regarding the proposed amendments and the rationale behind them
2.       Discussion
3.       Motions and changes to proposed amendments.

The proposed amendments to the Statute can be found here.

In the coming days, the council shall send to all CoE paid up members the proposed amendments to the statute for their scrutiny. In accordance with clause 17.2 of the CoE statute, any motions shall be proposed and seconded at least one week before the EGM. For this reason these should reach Dr. Ing. Daniel Micallef, CoE General Secretary, by not later than 22nd August 2014.

All members are encouraged to attend the EGM. Please note that only 2014 paid up members are eligible to participate in the EGM.
