CANCELLED - Seminar on the strategic use of Foresight

Foresight seminar -designing scenarios for the futureCANCELLED due to lack of interest.

The Chamber of Engineers (CoE)  is organising a Continuous Profession Development (CPD) session on ‘Foresight – Creating scenarios for the future’.   The 2-hour course will be held on June 11th (not on May 28th as previously announced) and is open to engineers and other professionals.

Foresight involves creating and exploring alternative future scenarios  in an attempt to clarify present actions and subsequent consequences and  to take action to either make a desirable future occur or to adapt to  unfavorable circumstances.

Participants will learn about foresight methods for designing scenarios and about the importance of utilizing such methods to strategically work towards a desirable future. The course will be held at the Conference Hall, Professional Centre, Sliema Road, Gzira and is open to members of the Chambers and non-members alike.  Registration fees for CoE members are at €15 whilst non-members pay €25.

This is the second CPD session the CoE is offering for 2009. Similar courses will be held throughout the year.
