The Chamber of Engineers reiterates that the Engineering Profession Warrant, issued under the Inġiniera Act (CAP. 321), exists to safeguard consumer protection, public safety, and the integrity of the engineering profession. The warrant is granted only to individuals who satisfy the requirements established in CAP. 321. The latest published list of warranted Inġiniera can be found here.
Warrant holders are bound by the Code of Ethics, enshrined in CAP. 321, which guides all Inġiniera to uphold the highest professional standards in the service of society.
The Chamber emphasises that this reminder is issued in the interest of public clarity and professional integrity. The correct use of the protected title is essential to ensure public trust and to safeguard the profession.
The Chamber encourages all individuals, media and organisations to verify credentials before attributing professional titles, and to amend any incorrect representations without delay. This protects consumers, strengthens public confidence, and ensures compliance with the law.
The Chamber of Engineers encourages members of the public and warrant holders to report any concerns directly to the Board tal-Inġiniera, which is the regulator of the profession, as well as to the Chamber.
