Chamber of Engineers and Kamra tal-Periti renew collaboration agreement for Inġiniera Malta Joint Committee

On the 4th of June 2026, the Chamber of Engineers (CoE) and the Kamra tal-Periti (KTP) formally renewed their collaboration agreement for the Inġiniera Malta Joint Committee, reinforcing their shared commitment to representing Malta’s engineering professions at European level.

The signing ceremony took place between CoE President Dr Inġ. Bonnie Attard and KTP President Perit Andre Pizzuto, in the presence of their respective International Affairs representatives, Inġ. Ryan Grixti and Perit Dr Jeanette Muñoz Abela.

The Inġiniera Malta Joint Committee serves as the official joint Committee representing both organisations within Engineers Europe (formerly known as FEANI), the leading pan-European federation representing the engineering profession across more than 30 countries. Engineers Europe plays a key role in promoting high professional standards, enabling mobility within the profession, and advancing engineering competence across the continent.

Through this framework, the Joint Committee also supports the administration and promotion of the EUR ING certification, a prestigious Europe-wide professional certificate that recognises an engineer’s competence and facilitates the mutual recognition of professional qualifications across borders.

Following the formal signing, the Chamber of Engineers and Kamra tal-Periti jointly hosted an information session for members, focusing on the significance of the EUR ING certification, its benefits, and its role in enhancing professional mobility and recognition within the European engineering sector.

The renewed agreement strengthens ongoing collaboration between the two organisations, including increased coordination and cross-promotion of initiatives that benefit both professions and contribute to the broader development of Malta’s engineering community.

The Chamber of Engineers and Kamra tal-Periti expressed their enthusiasm for continued collaboration through the Inġiniera Malta Joint Committee, with a shared vision of strengthening Malta’s voice within the European engineering and professional landscape and advancing professional standards, fostering knowledge exchange, and supporting Malta’s continued development.
