Director of Engineering & Maintenance at Teva Malta, a global leader in generics and biopharmaceuticals, Maurizio is a graduate mechanical engineering holding aMasters in BA.

Maurizio Cappello has been working in the Pharmaceutical Sector for these last 24 years holding various roles with engineering and operations. He was leading the Teva Eastern European sites for engineering for several years. Maurizio also heldpositions of site Head of E&M at other Teva European sites in Italy and Netherlands.  

Within Teva he was responsible for the implementation of a KPI dashboard for all global sites, as well managed other projects both locally and at a global level.

Maurizio is also a long-standing member of BIETA (Bulebel Industrial Estate Tenants Association) and has been holding the position of General Secretary for the past few years.

Maurizio was elected for this first time to the CoE executive council in 2025 and holds the position of treasurer.
