Philip Azzopardi is a recent engineering graduate with a strong interest in aviation and materials engineering, having gained early professional experience through industry placements. He has recently completed postgraduate studies at Cranfield University and is eager to contribute to the continued development and promotion of the engineering profession.

Alongside his academic background, he possesses extensive voluntary and
leadership experience. Philip has been an active member of The Scout
Association of Malta since childhood and has served in leadership roles
within his local Scout Group for nearly nine years.

During this period, Philip organised and supervised educational and community-focused activities, including an initiative recognised through ERA’s Sustainable Development Action Award. He has also completed formal leadership training, undertaken leadership responsibilities within an international scouting environment, and collaborated on outreach activities aimed at promoting engineering careers. During his postgraduate studies, he also served as Course Representative, acting as a liaison between students and academic staff, and was a committee member of a university society, contributing to the organisation of academic and recreational activities. If elected as an executive member of the Chamber of Engineers, his aim would be to support the profession’s advancement and engagement, while representing younger engineers and contributing informed perspectives.
