Biography
Victor Buttigieg graduated first class B.Elec.Eng. (Hons) from the University of Malta in 1990. In 1991 he was awarded a Commonwealth Academic Staff Scholarship, graduating M.Sc. in Digital Systems Engineering from UMIST in 1992 and in 1995 he was awarded a Ph.D. degree by the University of Manchester. He is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Communications and Computer Engineering at the University of Malta. He was responsible for projects worth in total more than 1.3 million euro. In 2020, he was awarded the Maurice Debono Lifetime Achievement Award by the Chamber of Engineers, Malta.
