Ms. Claire GrimaEducation and Training Secretary
Claire Grima graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Malta. Her undergraduate dissertation studied and simulated the effect PV Systems have on the power quality of the national distribution grid. This work also covered suggestions on what can be done to mitigate the effects. This dissertation was awarded as the Best Electrical Engineering Project by IEEE Malta Section in 2019. In her University days, Claire was formed part of UESA as Education Officer, whereby she organised various seminars and activities, including the orgnisation’s first ever Engineering Conference. This conference brought fifteen local companies offering student internships to undergrad engineering students, as well as ten University of Malta lecturers who discussed various engineering topics.
As a result of the above conference, she joined Methode Electronics Inc. where she worked as a Lab Engineering student for two years. Claire is still employed within Methode, where she works as a Quality Engineer leading a team of six personnel.
