On 28th October, the active outreach of the Chamber of Engineers towards the industry continued with a visit to De La Rue Malta hosted by Inġ. Nicol Cremona – NPI and Process Quality Manager, Authentication and Mr Ryan Lia – HR Business Partner . The Chamber was represented by Inġ. Malcolm Zammit – President, Dr Inġ. Bonnie Attard – Secretary General and Inġ. Simon Abela – Membership Secretary.

De La Rue Malta shared with the Chamber their key manufacturing activities and plans to expand presence and career opportunities in Malta. This presentation was tied with a discussion on the fundamental importance of engineers and technical personnel in order to ensure growth and sustainability in state-of-the-art banknote printing.

The Chamber highlighted its vision to be closer to the manufacturing industry and the importance of membership of engineers and technicians within the Chamber to ensure a stronger profession as well as better representation of various sectors in industry.

The Chamber looks forward to continuing consolidating bridges with various manufacturing entities in Malta.
