Chamber of Engineers visits TEVA Pharmaceuticals

On Wednesday 11th October the active outreach of the Chamber of Engineers towards the industry continued with a visit to Teva Malta. The visit was hosted by Patrick Cachia (Site Managing Director), Maurizio Cappello (Director for Engineering, Maintenance and Global Engineering Initiatives), Stephanie Borg (Manager, HR),  and the rest of the engineering leadership team, including Tiziana Maria Grima, Michael Vella, Victor Spiteri, Norbert Bianco, John Azzopardi & Marouska Bartolo. (Paul Zammit  in absentia)  The Chamber was represented by Dr. Inġ. Bonnie Attard – Secretary General, Inġ. David Scicluna Giusti – Activities Secretary and Inġ. Alex Tanti – Funding Secretary.

Teva gave an overview of the main operations carried out locally together with the significant functional developments of the facility. The Chamber of Engineers emphasized its commitment to establishing a closer relationship with industry stakeholders and leveraging its substantial engineer community. It stressed the significance of engineers becoming members of the Chamber to bolster the profession and expand prospects for its members. Additionally, the meeting underscored potential areas of collaboration between the two organizations especially in areas of STEM engagement.
