Launch of the ’Find an Engineer’ Public Directory

The Chamber of Engineers and the Minister for Transport Infrastructure and Public Works Hon. Chris Bonett have launched the public directory ’Find an Engineer’ which will serve as a public platform of Inġiniera with various specialisations and will bring the engineering profession closer to the public.

Chamber President Inġ. Malcolm Zammit explained that this initiative was ideated within the Chamber and commissioned by the Chamber to serve as a new service to its Inġiniera Members while being a useful tool for members of the public. “Find an Engineer” is a website accessible through internet access to ensure an open service which benefits society.

During his presentation, the Chamber’s President has encouraged Inġiniera to register in this directory to join the Chamber’s efforts and add more value to this initiative. While there are many specialisations, he emphasised that the foremost priority for Inġiniera is to preserve public health and safety through an ethical and professional service.

Minister Chris Bonett stated that Inġiniera hold the knowledge and capabilities which are essential to solve the present problems and those which are yet to arise in the future. The ’Find an Engineer’ directory initiative is expected to assist a citizen in discovering technical and professional talents as the initiative a greater appreciation of this important profession

“The Chamber’s useful initiative to launch this public directory should be considered one link of chain of efforts which seek to continue improving the position and future of the engineering profession” concluded Minister Bonett.

The public directory ’Find an Engineer’ will make the professional services of Inġiniera even more accessible to people, and therefore, the Chamber of Engineers will continue promoting and improving it according to periodically identified needs.
