On the 16th June, the Chamber of Engineers (CoE) and the Gozo Business Chamber (GBC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking a significant step toward strengthening collaboration between the engineering profession and the Gozitan business community. The MoU was signed by CoE President Dr Inġ. Bonnie Attard and GBC President Mr Michael Galea, in the presence of CoE Treasurer Inġ. Maurizio Cappello and GBC CEO Mr Daniel Borg.

This agreement builds on discussions held earlier this year, when a CoE delegation visited Gozo to explore opportunities for cooperation with key stakeholders. During that visit, the Gozo Business Chamber outlined its role in supporting its members by addressing regional challenges such as connectivity, funding, talent retention, and sustainable economic development. Both organisations identified several areas where joint initiatives could have a meaningful impact, including skills development, technical capacity building, and enhanced support for Gozitan enterprises operating in engineering‑related sectors.
Through this MoU, the Chamber of Engineers and the Gozo Business Chamber will collaborate to facilitate knowledge exchange and technical expertise between engineers and Gozitan businesses, while also working together on training, education, and professional development initiatives. The Chamber of Engineers looks forward to deepening this partnership and advancing shared objectives that benefit both the engineering profession and the wider Gozitan community.
