Chamber of Engineers meet the Inġiniera Board

As per notice No. 749 published in the Government Gazette of Tuesday 28th June 2022., the Inġiniera Board members were appointed by the Minister of Public Works and Planning Dr Stefan Zrinzo-Azzopardi.
Following this public announcement, Chamber President Inġ. Malcolm Zammit had written to the Chairperson Dr. Noel Camilleri to extend an invitation from the Chamber’s Executive Council to the Board Chairperson and members Inġ. Keith Chetcuti, Inġ. Robert Schembri, Dr. Inġ. Kenneth Chircop, Inġ. Fabio Stivala, Inġ. Samuel Bonanno and Dr Inġ. Brian Micallef and Board Secretary Mr Jack Farrugia for a meeting at the Chamber’s Offices at The Professional Centre in Gżira.
On 4th July 2022, a delegation from the Chamber’s council welcomed the Inġiniera Board members who accepted the invitation and held the first meeting following the start of the new term of the appointed members of the Board.
The Chamber and the Board have resumed the discussions on key professional issues. Following an introduction with the Council’s vision for the profession, the agenda continued with the key topics of safeguarding quality in engineering education in Malta and the importance to continue the work on surrounding legislation involving Inġiniera and on projecting further the potential and career prospects of the engineering profession.
The Chamber looks forward to continue strengthening this channel of communication to ensure that the voice of Inġiniera in Malta remains represented in a consistent and effective manner.
