The Electoral Commission of the Inġiniera Board has called on all Engineering Profession Warrant Holders listed in the Government Gazette, to participate in the upcoming elections of Monday 02nd September 3pm to 7pm. Through this election, Inġiniera will elect 3 members to represent them on the Board for the next 2 years, until 2026.
The Chamber of Engineers believes that these elections should be an opportunity for pride in the profession and for engagement by professionals. In this respect, the Chamber chooses not to entertain a partisan contest between organisations.
The Chamber is confident that there are various warrant holders which have the aptitude to represent Inġiniera on the Board and encourages those warrant holders with the drive to contribute towards the engineering profession to come forward as potential nominees in these important elections for the profession.
The Chamber expects that the prospective election candidates make their motivation and vision known to their fellow members of the profession. This good practice is anticipated to encourage an engaging election which further enables Inġiniera to make informed decisions. The Chamber will also be communicating its vision for future work with the Board for consideration by the election candidates.
In conclusion, the Chamber of Engineers strongly encourages Inġiniera to vote on the 2nd September 2024 and looks forward for cooperation with the future representatives of warrant holders on the Inġiniera Board.
