CoE and MEEREA sign Memorandum of Understanding

On the 21st of February 2025, the Chamber of Engineers (CoE) and the Malta Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energies Association (MEEREA), signed a Memorandum of Understanding which states that both organisations agree to co-operate in areas which can be developed both for the engineering profession and for the promotion of energy efficiency and renewable energies in Malta, to the benefit of both parties, their members and society at large.

The signing took place between CoE President Inġ. Malcolm Zammit, and MEEREA President Perit Greta Caruana Smith, during an event held prior to the Annual General Meeting of MEEREA.

Through this MoU, the CoE and MEEREA will further consolidate their collaboration through joint initiatives to promote the nexus between engineering and energy efficiency and renewable energies to Maltese society. This collaboration will also see the promotion of engineering-related training programmes, educational initiatives and policy matters between members of CoE and MEEREA, forming a common and stronger front to accelerate energy sustainability at all levels.
