On the 8th April 2025, the Chamber of Engineers visited Electrical Supplies and Services Limited (ESS) as part of its outreach towards industry and stakeholders.

The Chamber’s delegation was welcomed by Mr Duncan Agius (Managing Director), Ms. Martina Agius (Marketing Manager) and the rest of the team including Mr. Jefferson Jimenez (marketing Executive) and Ms. Cora Caruana (Marketing and Sales Executive). The Chamber was represented by Dr. Inġ. Bonnie Attard – President, Inġ. David Scicluna Giusti – Vice-President and Mr Jean-Marie Darmanin – Secretary General.

The ESS delegation gave an overview of the current activities and new developments being undertaken. New technology and materials being implemented as part of novel switchgear designs was also discussed. A tour of the facilities and products was then undertaken.

The Chamber of Engineers emphasized the need to promote technology-driven solutions which rely on significant expertise in engineering. Opportunities within the electrical services sector were also discussed together with a discussion centering on the activities by the Chamber and further avenues for collaboration between the two entities.
